Obviously we encounter cacti other than just Astrophytum asterias or the various Lophophora species.
    While our immediate activities are limited to conservation efforts and scientific research focused on Astrophytum asterias and the Lophophora species, we are including a few images of some of those other species for your enjoyment.

     This is a summary page so any of these which are linked to the Associated Flora projects for Astrophytum and/or for Lophophora will contain "Back" links that will take you there rather than returning you to this page.

   Wherever possible we have endeavored to include in-habitat images but have included some cultivated photos in cases where a plant was listed as a known companion plant or where some pertinent educational value was deemed to be present in the inclusion. It is our intention to replace these or any inferior quality images with in habitat or better ones (respectively) as they become available.

    Identifications of unidentified plants or corrections of our identifications are welcomed and encouraged.
